BECAUSE OF DIFFERENCES IN CONSTRUCTION AND APPEARANCE,
SINGLE SILO SITES AT THE PLESETSK MISSILE AND SPACE
CENTER WILL NO LONGER BE REFERRED TO AS TYPE IIID SITES.
SITE 17 -- APPROXIMATELY 32.5 NM ENE OF THE TOWN OF
PLESETSK.
SITES 23 AND 24 -- APPROXIMATELY 39 NM ENE OF PLESETSK.
LAUNCH SITES 17, 23, AND 24 ARE SINGLE-SILO LAUNCH
SITES. SITE 17 HAS BEEN CONSIDERED A TYPE IIID SINGLE-
SILO, AND UNTIL THIS MISSION WAS CONSIDERED A TYPICAL
IIID SILO.

ACTIVITY/CONSTRUCTION IS APPARENT AT THE SITE. AS A RESULT OF THESE DIFFERENCES,
THIS SITE AND THE OTHER SINGLE SILOS AT PLESETSK WILL NO LONGER BE REFERRED
TO AS TYPE IIID SITES.
SITES 23 AND 24. A SINGLE SILO IS NEWLY IDENTIFIED APPROXIMATELY 1,000 FT
TO THE EAST OF LAUNCH SITE 23. BOTH SITES ARE IN THE EARLY STAGES OF CONSTRUCTION
AND CONSIST OF SILO CORINGS APPROXIMATELY N DIAMETER. ACTIVITY IS OBSEX
