NORTHWEST OF PYONGYANG AT 39-07-50N 125-18-15E.
3? REMARKS: THE IDENTIFICATION OF THREE NEW SAM SITES IN
NORTH KOREA BRINGS THE TOTAL NUMBER OF SITES
TO EIGHT. OF THESE EIGHT, SIX HAVE BEEN
CONSTRUCTED SINCE APRIL 1966.
THREE SAM SITES ARE NEWLY IDENTIFIED IN
NORTH KOREA.

CONFIGURATION. THE SITE CONSISTS OF 6 UNOCCUPIED, REVETTED MISSILE
LAUNCH POSITIONS, A CENTRAL GUIDANCE AREA CONTAINING 3 BUILDINGS,
AND 3 MISSILE-HOLD BUILDINGS, TWO OF WHICH ARE REVETTED. THE SUPPORT
AREA CONSISTS OF 4 BUILDINGS 500 FT NORTH-NORTHWEST OF THE LAUNCH AREA
AND 1 LARGE AND 5 SMALL BUILDINGS NORTHEAST OF THE LAUNCH AREA.
PYONGYANG SAM SITE C12-2 IS OF IRREGULAR CONFIGURATION AND
CONTAINS 6 UNOCCUPIED, REVETTED LAUNCH POSITIONS, AN UNOCCUPIED REVETTED
CENTRAL GUIDANCE AREA, AND 3 MISSILE-HOLD BUILDINGS. FIVE ADDITIONAL
BUILDINGS ARE LOCATED APPROXIMATELY 700 FT WEST OF THE LAUNCH AREA.
