SIGNIFICANCE: SIX NEW LAUNCH POSITIONS ARE IDENTIFIED AT TRIAD 2. 2. REMARKS: THIS COMPLEX IS ONE OF SEVEN PROBABLE ABM 3. LOCATION: 45 NM NW OF MOSKVA ON THE NORTH END OF SAM SITE E33-1. 5. FIRST IDEN'T'IFICATION: PROVIDED THE FIRST SATELLITE PHOTOGRAPHY OF MOSKVA SAM SITE E33-1, D PERMITTED THE FIRST ASSOCIATION OF PART LAUNCH COMPLEXES LOCATED AT SA-1 SAM SITES AROUND M:OSKVA. OTHERS ARE LOCATED AT E03, E05, E15, E21, E24, AND E31. THE FIRST NUMBER IN THE DESIGNATOR INDICATES THE TRIAD FACILITY (1 OR 2~, THE SECOND LETTER INDICATES THE' BUILDING WITH WHICH THE LAUNCH POSITION IS ASSOCIATED (B OR C), AND THE FINAL NUMERAL INDICATES THE LAUNCH POSITION ITSELF. AT TRIAD 1, NO CHANGE IS DISCERNIBLE TO THE EXTERIOR OF THE BUILD- INGS OR ENVIRONMENTAL SHELTERS. CONSTRUCTION CONTINUES ON THE 8 LAUNCH POSITIONS. AN UNIDENTIFIED OBJECT~STRUCTURE IS OBSERVED AT LAUNCH POSITION 1C4, ALTHOUGH IT DOES N07' APPEAR TO BE THE LAUNCHER-ERECTOR MECHANISM ITSELF. AT TRIAD 2, THE FIRST SECTION OF THE ENVIRONMENTAL SHELTER IS OB-- SERVED BEING ASSEMBLED ON THE GROUND ADJACENT TO BUILDING "A". THIS ACTIVITY WAS NOT UNDERWAY SECOND SECTION OF THE ENVIRONMENTAL SHELTER HAS BEEN PLACED NEAR BUILDING "B" SINCE NO ADDITIONAL SECTIONS FOR THE ENVIRONMENTAL SHELTER FOR BUILDING "C" HAVE BEEN CONSTRUCTED. ALTHOUGH AN ELEVATED STRUCTURE OR PLATFORM CAN BE SEEN ON THE ROOF OF EACH OF THE. SMALL TRIAD BUILDINGS, NO ANTENNAS ARE DISCERNIBLE. TWO LAUNCH POSITIONS UNDER CONSTRUCTION AROUND BUILDING "B" AND 4 LAUNCH POSITIONS UNDER CONSTRUCTION AROUND BUILDING "C" AT TRIAD 2 ARE These notes have been prepared for briefing purposes only and should not be used for detailed analytical work. THE LAUNCH POSITIONS APPEAR TO CONSIST OF A CIRCULAR, LIGHT-TONED BASE WHICH HAS BEEN PIiACED IN AN EXCAVATION. THE TOP OF THE BASE IS BELOW GROUND. THREE UNIDENTIFIED LIGHT-TONED OBJECTS~STRUCTURES ARE OBSERVED ALONG A DITCH WHICH ORIGINATES ON THE WEST SIDE OF BUILD- ING "C", TRIAD 2, AND EXTENDS BEHI:ND THE NORTHERN ROW OF LAUNCH POSI- TIONS UNDER CONSTRUCTION AT TRIAD 2. TWO OF THE OBJECTS~STRUCTURES AP- PEAR TO BE ALIGNED WITH LAUNCH POSITIONS 2C1 AND 2C4, ALTHOUGH NO CON- NECTION IS DISCERNIBLE. A CORRESPONDING ARRANGEMENT OF FEATURES IS NOT APPARENT AT TRIAD 1. A PROBABLE CALIBRATION TOWER IS LOCATED BETWEEN THE TRIADS FACILITY. NO MISSILES OBSERVID IN THE COMPLEX.
