LOCATED IN THE CITY OF SEVERODVINSK ON THE WHITE
SEA, APPROXIMATELY 19 NM WEST OF ARKHANGELSK.

 8. DIMENSIONS
SPECIFICATIONS: U/I ATTACK-CLASS SUBMARINE:

(LOA APPROX. 365 FT) IS IN FRONT OF THE SOUTH DOOR OF THE MAIN CONSTRUCTION
HALL. THE AFTER HALF OF THIS SUBMARINE APPEARS IDENTICAL TO THE N-CLASS SSN
IN HULL SHAPE AND BY THE PRESENCE OF A VERTICAL STERN FIN. A DEPRESSED
AREA FOR THE SAIL IS APPROXIMATELY 65 FT LONG AND BEGINS APPROXIMATELY
95 FT FROM THE BOW. THE FORWARD ONE-THIRD OF THIS SUBMARINE APPEARS TO
TAPER TO A MUCH NARROWER BOW THAN PREVIOUSLY OBSERVED ON AN N-CLASS SSN.
A VERY LARGE FLOATING CRANE IS WORKING OFF THE PORT QUARTER OF THE SUB-
MARINE.

ALONG THE SOUTH QUAY: 3 E-II-CLASS SSGN, 1 N-CLASS SSN (VISIBLE
WATERLINE LENGTH AT LEAST 355 FT), AND 1 N-CLASS SSN (LOA APPROX 325 FT)
IN A FLOATING DOCK. THIS N-CLASS SSN APPARENTLY HAS ITS OUTER HULL PLATING
REMOVED FROM AN AREA IMMEDIATELY AFT OF THE SAIL. ONE CATAMARAN VESSEL
AND 6 SUPPORT BARGES ARE ALSO LOCATED HERE.
WEST QUAY: 8 PROBABLE POLISH TR-40 CLASS MSB (6 CANVAS COVERED),
1 P6-CLASS PT, 10 SMALL CRAFT ON THE QUAY, 1 T-43-CLASS MSF, 1 LARGE AND
4 SMALLER MISSILE TARGET BARGES, 1 LARGE, 1 MEDIUM, AND 1 SMALL TRANSPORTER
DOCK, 2 PROBABLE YR, 3 TUGS, 3 PROBABLE YO, AND 9 AKL (LIGHT CARGO SHIP).
AT THE QUAY AT THE NUCLEAR SUBMARINE SPECIAL SUPPORT FACILITY: 1
ZEYA-CLASS YRSN (NUCLEAR SUBMARINE SUPPORT SHIP) AND 1 COVERED LIGHTER.
YAGRY ISLAND NAVAL BASE: 1 Z-CLASS SSB, 1 W-CLASS (TWIN CYLINDER)
SSG, 1 RIGA-CLASS DE AND 1 BOLVA-CLASS APL.
NEW WET DOCK AREA: 1 PROBABLE N-CLASS SSN (LOA NO GREATER THAN 335
FT) IS LOCATED ON THE NORTH LEDGE OF THE WET DOCK, AND 2 PROBABLE G-CLASS
SSB ARE MOORED BOW TO BOW (ONE WITH SAIL REMOVED, ONE WITH SCAFFOLDED SAIL)
ON THE SOUTH LEDGE. TWO SUPPORT BARGES ARE LOCATED IN THE FLOODED DEEP
PORTION OF THE WET DOCK. A PROBABLE H-CLASS SSBN IS OBSERVED IN A FLOATING
DOCK ALONGSIDE THE FITTING-OUT QUAY. THE SAIL AND STERN OF THE SUBMARINE
ARE COMPLETELY SHED-COVERED; THE BOW PLANES ARE EXTENDED; AND THE DECK

PLATES APPEAR TO HAVE BEEN REMOVED FROM AN AREA IMMEDIATELY AFT OF THE
SAIL. A PM-124-CLASS AG (MISCELLANEOUS AUXILLIARY) IS MOORED OUTBOARD OF THE
FLOATING DOCK, AND A SUPPORT BARGE IS MOORED ACROSS THE FORWARD END OF THE
DOCK. ALSO LOCATED ALONGSIDE THE FITTING-OUT QUAY ARE 1 G-CLASS SSB (WITH
THE AFTER PART OF THE SAIL REMOVED EXPOSING 3 MISSILE TUBE COVERS), 1 YAGT,
AND A TUG.
THE EAST QUAY: 2 J-CLASS SSG (ONE WITH MISSILE LAUNCHERS ELEVATED)
MOORED OUTBOARD AN UNIDENTIFIED AG AND 2 PROBABLE AK (CARGO SHIP).
POSITIONS AS OBSERVED ONI IEXCEPT FOR THE VERY LARGE FLOATING CRANE
WHICH HAS MOVED FROM THE LAUNCHING BASIN TO THE FITTING-OUT QUAY AT THE
NEW WET DOCK FACILITY. THE CRANE IS APPARENTLY WORKING ON THE YAGT.
