IMAGERY INFORMATION REPORT
NEW HIGH-FREQUENCY RADIO COMMUNICATIONS STATION
AT CABINDA CITY, ANGOLA
A new high-frequency radio communications station was identified
southeast of Cabinda City within the Cabindan enclave of Angola on imagery
A baseball diamond was also observed, probably indicating
the presence of Cuban personnel. Two horizontal dipole antennas are
present in a cleared area in which additional antennas will probably be
erected. The installation is defended by six unoccupied mortar positions
and several automatic weapons-firing positions. A small military post is
adjacent to the antenna field and includes six buildings and one vehicle
shed under construction. Six 120mm mortars in a towed position are parked
in this area.
