PROBABLE NAVAL VERSION OF THE SA-X-10 AT
FEODOSIYA NAVAL MISSILE SUPPORT FACILITY, USSR (S)
(TSR) An analysis of the naval SAM s stem seen at the Feodosiya Naval Missile Sup-
port Facility, USSR since October 1976 indicates that this system
is probably a naval version of the SA-X-10 strategic defensive missile being tested at Sary-
Shagan Missile Test Center, Launch Complex G

The two canisters seen at Feodosiya (Figure 2) are also
L~X1
. The slightly tapered appearance previously reported* is due to a
framework that holds the two canisters together.
(TSR) The SA-X-10 canisters at Sary-Shagan are carried on a modified SA-5 canister
transporter (Figure 3), which can hold up to four canisters stacked in pairs. Two modified
SA-5 canister transporters have been seen at Feodosiya since at least May 1975.0 25X1
one of the transporters was canvas covered and appeared to be carrying four 25X1
canisters stacked in pairs (Figure 4)--a mode identical to the one seen at Sary-Shagan. The
canister portion of the transporte further suggesting that the canisters 25X1
are SA-X-10 canisters.
(TSR) The missile components, the transporter, and the electronics equipment that
was previously reported at Feodosiya* indicate that the SAM system at Feodosiya is
probably the naval version of the SA-X-10 missile.
