SOVIET AIRCRAFT REFUE`LL;4G VEHICLES
This memorandum reports the completion of an internal request to
attempt to determine the fuel capacity of two Soviet aircraft refueling
vehicles imaged in recent ground photography.
One vehicle is imaged in USSR/IR-311-54, exposures
dated Desirable photogrammetric data was lacking, but
calculations were based on the estimated height of a man standing near
the vehicle. It was determined that the tank-trailer is 25 feet long,
3.9 feet deep, and 6.4 feet, wide. With these dimensions, the tank
trailer would have a capacity of approximately 3900 U. S. gallons,

(Civil Aviation)- Comparing the ratio of wheel heights to height of
vehicle it is evident that the vehicle shown in the magazine is larger
than the vehicle imaged in the photography.
