This report, based on K1.1'IIOLL photog-
raphy, supplements \l1IC!R-26.64, I.' which
discusses the Kurgancha-\1R13\1 Complex (Fig-
ure 1), which previously consisted of 2 Type I
and 1 Type IV \lR13.M launch areas.
Kurgancha Fixed Field Site is situated in a
semiarid, sparselv:popuiated rei;ion at approxi-

mately 2,000 feet elevation. _I he field site is
5 nautical miles (nm) north-northeast of Launch
Area No 2, 8 nni northeast of Launch Area No I
and 14 nm (straight line) northeast of Launch
::Area No 3. In addition, the field site is 1 nm
north of Kurgancha and -IS-nm \v-est of Samarkand,
USSR (Figure 1).

The fixed field site was first seen in usable. No additional changes were observed.

The field site was next seen in

had been prepared. Construction in the area of
the launch. pads could not be observed. Two
buildings could be seen within the launch site,
the first measuring approximately 40 by 30
feet was just inside the first security fence and
the second measuring approximately

Both buildings are adjacent to the' access road,
and probably are used for security purposes.
