RE.rERENCE: Requirement No. NIC 2-5 of 17 March 1965 (NPIC Project
11223-5) Partial Answer
1. In response to reference requirement, the attached Order-of-Battle
Report is forwarded herewith for your information and retention.
2. ~:ze Order-of-Battle information, as derived from overhead Talent-
Keyhole ph: ography, is presented on three SS Deployment Base/Shipyard data
bases and , vering the "Pacific, Fleet, Northern. Fleet, Baltic and Black Sea
Fleet" are: Overlays with associated legends provide: the current "SS-OB"
as now care*-d by the NPIC.
attached report represents the first collation of baseline data

for utiliz- on by NIC in future indications application. It should be noted
that subma-'ne identification and counts as listed show a marked improvement
in detail ? .i accuracy based upon continuing improvements in the collection
;systems.
4. is anticipated that this or a similar type report will be compiled
and dissem'_.ated on a semi-annual basis with input cut-off dates of 30 June
and 31 December with the 31 December report providing the annual identification/
count totals.
5. It is estimated that the I January/30 June 1965 report will be
