This report is one in a series on Soviet Ground Force and logistic installations being prepared for a I)IA/CIA Panel. The series is being coordinated, published and disseminated by NPIC. The photographic analysis is being performed by the NPIC Photographic Analysis Group, the CIA Photographic Intelligence Division (NPIC), and the Production Center 1P1c (DIA). The photographic analysis for this particular re- port was performed by the NPIC Photographic Analysis Group. In the interest of uniformity, the titles and letter designators for the facilities observed at these installations are identical with those appearing in the project requirement. When a specific facility is not observed both its title and letter designator are omitted in the report. It is listed in the D1A Target Data Inventory Listing as the Minsk Army Barracks North . The installation is Minsk Army Barracks Uruchye (AL- 1) is located 10' kilometers (km) northeast and the Minsk Army Barracks Northwest (AL-6) is 6 km northwest. A probable military hos- pital and administrative area comprises the main part of this installation with a possibly associated quarters and support area located immediately northwest. The main area (Figures 2 and 3) covers approximately 50 acres and contains five ad- ministration buildings, seven barracks, one Area Dl (Figure 3) contains four adminis- tration buildings, six barracks, and five sup- port buildings. Three of the barracks, one ad- ministration building, and three support build- ings were first observed on overage. Road Service Urban streets provide access to the in- stallation. Administrative and Troop Housing Areas Area D2 has a multistory, multiwing prob- able hospital building first observed on coverage. Area D3 contains one administration build- inc. one barracks, and one support building. 15X1 These buildings were first observed on 25X1 overage. General Storage Area 0 ings was first observed oni coverage. 25X I Other Buildings There are 12 support buildings scattered throughout the hospital and administrative area. Area H is a possibly associated quarters and support area containing 38 quarters, 34 support buildings, eight storage buildings, and four administrative-type buildings. Equipment Storage/Maintenance Areas Area J1 has one 170- by 60-foot storage/ .maintenance building and one 100- by 30-foot storage/maintenance building. Vehicles were observed in an adjoining 180- by 70-foot vehicle park on coverage. Area J as one 160- by 30-foot probable vehicle shed and one support building. large multistory, multiwing probable hospital building, seven storage buildings, three vehicle storage/maintenance buildings with an associ- ated vehicle park, and 22 support buildings. The possibly associated quarters and support area (Area H) covers approximately 60 acres and includes four administrative-type buildings, 38 quarters buildings, eight and 34 support buildings.
