. This report supplements 'EPIC "R- 116 '64,
1 '. which discusses the Zhitomir \1RBM Com-
plex, consisting of three Type II launch areas,
together with a probable rail-to-road transfer
point.
The Zhitomir Fixed Field Site is located
in a flat and thickly wooded plot approximately
6.5 nautical miles (nm) west - southwest of Berdi-
chev in the Ukrainian SSR. (Figure 1). The

Launch Areas No 1 and 3 were first ob-
served in and were considered
completed in respec-
tively. Launch Area No 2 was considered com-
pleted when first observed in
Launch Area No I is located 14.6 nm north-
northwest of the field site and Launch Area
No 2 is situated 19.5 nm north-northwest of the
field site. Launch Area No 3 is located 14.4
nm to the north of the field site. Launch Areas
No 1, 2, and 3 are oriented on azimuths of
220 degrees.
A probable rail-to-road transfer point for
Launch Areas No 1, 2, and 3 is at Chudnov
rail yard, 14.6 nm northwest of the field site.
The railroad yards at Berdichev probably are
utilized by the field site. An improved road
leads from the railroad yards to the field site
via the Berdichev Airfield.
The fixed field site (Figure 2) consists of
a looped road pattern with two parallel launch
clearings integral with the roads. The launch
clearings are on an azimuth of 220 degrees
and are spaced approximately 550 feet apart.
No equipment or supporting facilities are evi-
dent at the field site.
