This is the seventh of a series of reports published monthly in an
effort to provide continuous information on 28 selected military complexes,
marshalling yards, storage areas and transfer points in South China and
North Vietnam. The targets have been selected as those most likely to
provide indications of a military buildup.*
This study utilizes all photographic coverage taken and available
during the preceding month. Only those targets covered by interpretable
photography are analysed and these are arranged alphabetically within
country. The quality of photography for each entry is given with the
mission reference E777 1

I. HO-KOU AREA 22 32N-103 57E

A. No apparent changes in facilities and no vehicles or pieces of
equipment are observed.
B. Five possible units of rolling stock are observed on the rail
siding.

II. KUEI-HSEIN MILITARY COMPLEX 23 07N-109 38E
Reference Mission:
A. No apparent changes in facilities and no vehicles or pieces of
equipment are observed since CIA/PIR-77093 (October 1966).
B. An undetermined number of units of rolling stock are observed
in the rail road yards.
III. KUEI-LIN MILITARY FACILITIES 25 11N-110 20E
Reference Mission:
A. Changes observed since CIA/FIR-67198 (February 1966), and
CIA/PIR-77069 (September 1966) are:
1. Area Ba - Re-evaluation reveals 10 vehicle/equipment
storage and maintenance buildings and 1
storage/support building.
2. Area C - One storage building razed.
3. Area Ea - Five buildings added.
4. Area Ga - The construction is complete.

runway has been graded. The serviceability is undetermined.

V. NING-MING TRANSFER POINT 23 08N-107 03E
Reference Mission:
The area is covered by poor photography, and haze precludes
interpretation. Rolling stock appears to be present in each
of the rail yards.
No apparent changes in facilities and no vehicles or pieces
of equipment are observed.
VI. PING-HSIANG AREA 22 07N-l06 46E
A. No apparent changes in facilities since CIA/PIR-77093
(October 1966).
