Long weather shed (length approx 300'). The building way between the shed and the transverser has been cleared of the unidentified 200 foot (approximate) vessel previously observed under construction on this way ono This suggests that if vessel(s) 25X1 are being built under the weather shed they may be nearing completion for launching. No vessel equating to the 200 foot unit previously observed on the way can be identified at the fitting-out wharves. See annotations 9 and 11, Figure 2, Possible CHIEN-SHE (315' Class) Tanker under construction on-building way (could not be measured). Imagery equating to tanker configuration can be observed on this unit. See annotation 15, Figure 2, 3. Probable composite/long superstructure vessel under construction on building way (could not be measured). Imagery equating to a midship superstructure and possible engineering openings topside amidships contrib e to this identification. Although no measurements could be made thisuunit appears to be about the same size as the possible CHIEN-SHE alongside. A 315 foot Class CHIEN-SHE Tanker in an advanced stage of construction was previously positioned on this way. See annotation 16, Figure 2, 4. Two unidentified vessels under construction on building ways (could not be measured). A possible similar vessel apparently had been launched from the way behind the 300 foot shed (annotation 1 above) prior to this mission. The launching end of the way containing the new type unit at annotation 3 is occupied by a vessel that appears similar to the ship beside it on the next way. See annotations 8 and 9, Figure 2,1 5. Probable CHIEN-SHE (315' Class) Tanker (LOA approx 310'). 6. Two probable CHIEN-SHE (315' Class) Tankers (LOA of each approx 315').
