A prev_ously identified munitions storage site is located at 25-03N
102-50E, 7 nautical miles (nm) east of Kun-wing, China (Figure 1). This
installation consists of a munitions storage area, a housing and admin-
istration area and a housing and storage area (Pigure 3). The site is
road-served only.
Munitions Storage Area
ii'acili,ies in the munitions storage area include 26 gable-roofed
storage buildings (Buildings 1-26, Figure 3) and 2 small support build-
ings. A small water reservoir and several smal.. water basins are lo-
cated in this area, probably for use in case of fire. Most of the stor-
age buildings have end walls of heavy construction, probably for blast
protection. Additional blast protection is provided for many of the
storage buildings by their location in cu~backs in the hillsides.
Buildings 19-25, because of their location with respect to each other,
are provided with very little blast protection.
A refurbishing of Buildings 3 and 4 appeared to be in progress at
the time of the photography. Several white piles visible
near these cuildings are probably construction materials to be used in
connection with the refurbishing.
Building 19, which was under construction (Inset,
Jiigure 2) appears complete on photographs

Perimeuer security is provided by a system of tactical trenches lo-
cated in the highest areas of the site (Figure ;_'). Observation posts are
situated at strategic points near the tactical trenches in the munitions
storage area (Figure 2). Security fencing was not visible in any area
of the site. Vehicular traffic into the munitions storage area is con-
t,rolled by a guardhouse/checkpoint at the Location indicated in Figure 2.
kiousing and Administration Area
The facilities in this area include administration building, 2
barracks, small messhall, an athletic field and at least 40 other uni-
dentified support buildings.

Housing and Storage Area
This area, consisting of 8 warehouses (Buildings 27-34, Figure 3),
11 barracks and 1 messhall, probably provides storage for nonexplosive
type military equipment and additional housing for the munitions stor-
age area personnel.
Accuracy Statement
All measurements have been made by the NPIC Technical Intelligence
Division with the exception of Building 19 which were made by the CIA/IAD
project analyst. The location of Building 19 on the line drawing was
also accomplished by the CIA/IAD project analyst.
