Liu-chou, China (24 18N - 109 22E).. This rail line extends from Chung-ching (29 34N - 106 32E) southward to Kuei-ya,ng (26 35N - 106 42E), a, distance of approx- imately 210 nm (Figure 1). Construction of this rail line was started during 1958-59, but was stopped or slowed during 1960-62. 0 photography of other links of the rail system connecting the Szechwan Basin with south- eastern China, and North Vietnam via. Liu-chou, China are in use, this entire rail system may now be considered operable. reveals that the rail line has been completed and is in use. As 511 The two longest bridges on the rail line are the 2,200 foot Chung- ching Bridge over the Yangtze (Figure 8) and a 500 foot six span deck-type bridge over the Wu Chiang (Figure 5). Rolling stock was observed in several rail yards along the line including four such rail yards shown in the attached Figures 3, 4, 6 and 7.
