Collateral information suggests that coastal defense cruise missiles have
been introduced into the East European Satellites in mid or late 1963. In line
with this information a search was initiated in Poland, Rumania, 25X1
and Bulgaria using photography acquired since mid-1963.
No new cruise missile sites were discovered during a search of the areas in
the countries listed below.
Poland
The following areas were searched on clear, good qualityphotogr1
a. Entire Hel peninsula area from approximately 54-36N 18-48E Northwest
to 54-49N 18-21E.
b. Ustka area 54-35N 16-50E
c. Kolzbrzeg area 54-07N 15-35E

The area from Constanta to Mangalia was searched utilizing 0 photo25X1
with varying degrees of quality and cloud cover.

The search areas below were observed ono photography of 5X1

The only cruise missile sites observed were the two previously reported sites
in Bulgaria. One site is located at Emona 42-43N 27-52E and the other south of
Varna at 43-o4N.27-54E.
