1. This memorandum is the last in a series of reports on selected
high frequency (HF) communications facilities in China. The reports respond
to an NSA request to review nine specified areas in China to examine antennas
at suspect SIGINT - related facilities.
covering the specified areas was reviewed. In seven of
these areas, HF facilities of interest were observed sufficiently to identify
and describe antennas. Reports concerning these seven areas are presently
being published by NPIC and are listed below:

3- In two areas, KUANG-CHOU and LAN-CHOU, none of the facilities were
covered by photography that would allow meaningful antenna interpretation.
