25X1 Approved Fob Release 2003101Q8: F CRE)i These reports are the final part of a series of Photographic Interpretation Briefs on Soviet Naval Bases and Shipyards, Baltic Sea Fleet, initially disseminated as 1March 1968. Declass Review by NIMA/DOD 25X1 25X1 Approved For Release 2003/ : tff 18T04759A008400010062-7 Appro~ ed For Release OR/M6REl- INTRODUCTION This is the second and last of a series of Photographic Interpretation Briefs covering Soviet naval bases and shipyards in the Baltic Sea region, and it includes a complete index and an area locator map. All naval facilities and all shipyards or boatyards which appear to be capable of building or repairing PT boats or larger vessels are included in this study. These brief reports are designed to provide basic facility inventory information in a pre- scribed geographic area. Previously published detailed NPIC studies of certain significant targets within the area are not superseded by this series. Each brief contains identification and reference data, a locator map of the installation, a brief summary of facilities, and an annotated photograph. Bar scales and north arrows are annotated on the photographs as an aid to orientation. These are close approximations and should not be used to determine precise distances or azimuths.
