Berezniki Probable Long Range SAM Launch Complex
25X1 D
The Berezniki Probable Long Range SAM (PLRS~ Launch Complex is 7.5
nautical miles NNW of Berezniki. The secured complex is in an early-
to-mid stage of construction and consists of 3 launch sites, a tracking/
guidance facility, a support area, and a missile-handling facility.
The launch sites appear to be similar to those at the Pereslavl-
Zalesskiy PLRS Complex and the launch revetments are similar to those
at the Volgograd PLRS Complex. Launch Sites B and C appear to be more
advanced in construction than Launch Site A. Five complete revetments
were observed at Launch Site B, ZI- at Launch Site C, but none at Launch
Site A.
The tracking/guidance facility is in the most advanced stage of
construction of any component in the complex. The 3 radar mounds and
the central control revetment appear to be complete.
The support area consists of ~+ probably complete buildings, 3
buildings under construction, and a foundation for another building.
Only part of the road pattern is present at the missile-handling
facility.
Orientation of the complex is approximately 300 degrees and it
is situated approximately 600 feet above mean sea level.
