Recent photography of Airframe Plant No 18, Kuybyshev, USSR, reveals
that a large machine shop/workshop, under construction I I is
now externally complete. At the flyaway field (the Kuybyshev Bezymyanka
Airfield) the resurfacing reconditioning of the main runway, under way
I is also nearing completion.
Five BEAR, 2 CLEAT with radome, 1 CRATE, 6 CAB, 1 COLT, and 2 CREEK
were at the plant and airfield The 2 CLEAT with radome
are probably airborne early warning aircraft. This type of AEW
aircraft (see page 2) was first observed at the Moskva/Ramenskoye Flight
