PRIKAZY, CZECHOSLOVAKIA
An underground POL depot appears to be under construction in an area
roughly one mile south of Prikazy, Czechoslovakia, and four miles northeast
of Bystrice pod Hostynem. Arai]. spur leads into the depot from the rail
line about one-half mile to the north.
July 1956 photography shows four bunkers 210~.xt 210' which appear to
be complete, and an excavation 210' iri width which is probably a fifth bunker
under construction. The oblique view and the irregular terrain make it
difficult to determine for certain whether this excavation is square. A
map o'' the immediate vicinity and astereo-pair of the photography accompany
this memorandum.
Ground observation in March 1951 indicated the presence of an ex-
and large enough to accommodate a tank about t~50'
x'300'. ~ This same source reported that this depot was to serve as a
fuel reserve station for eight nearby airfields.
A single completed tank was observed in this area in September 1952.
The size was not indicated other than for the fact that it protruded about
above ground level. The walls were concrete, apparently
sheathed with steed. plate, and it was covered with adome-shaped concrete roof.

until 19lt7 or 19?~8.
In April 1953 one completed storage tank estimated to be 150'
during their occupations but source believed that no construction took place

Although the square bunkers shots on the July ]:956 photography could cover
circular pits~~ there is no photographic evidence~of excavations being circular.
The pit under construction is definitely rectangular.
Assuming the inside measurements of these tanks to be 2001 x 2001 x 201,
in order to calculate a rough indication of storage capacity, each tank
would hold six million gallons.
