No distribution will be made. A detailed photo anal i.s was made of a ten mile wide strip along a 25 mile for section of the border. A photo mosaic was prepared for this area and the requested detailed information was annotated directly onto a photographic copy of the mosaic. Annotations included roads, streams,, swsanps, power lines, towns, plowed strips and observation towers along the border, t ,litary barracks (Zastaba) and other requested information. This requirement was completed on a "crash" basis. Two conferences were held with the requester duriw the progress of the work, and the annotated mosaic completely satisfied the requirement. The original annotated ,photograph of the mosaic was delivered to the requester. A negative and one positive was made for record purposes, but no further distribution wait made. The original :tosaic is on file in the (:eok raphic Branch for possible future use. REQUIREMENT RR/HTA/G/R7/56: Furnish a map overlay of certain areas in the vicinity of Baranovichi, USSR showing changes in settlements; road net- work, railroads, military installations, airfields and other significant features. Many areas shown as swamps on the map have been drained and are now under cultivation, but in general, the map of the area is very accurate. reflecting the major post-war military development of the Baranovichi Area. The enclosed overlay shows the portion of'the requested areas that was covered by vertical and oblique photography. Significant changes and additions to the map were annotated directly on the map overlay. Most changes in the map were of a military nature Because of the security nature of this project, the original overlay was delivered to the requester and no other distribution. was made.
