E. NUMBER: NA LATITUDE : NA WAC NUMBER 153, 154, 167 LONGITUDE: NA 25X1 D REFERENCE: Photographic Intelligence Report CIA/RR-HTA R1-57 REQUIREMENT HTA/SI/Ra./57 Search photography in each direction on the perpendicular bisector of a line connecting Units 1 and 2 of the Mozhaysk installation to the limit of coverage for existence or construction of missile launching pads. Also to the limit of coverage, search the north- northwest and south-southeast sectors formed by a ]1.Oo/3200 azimuth intersecting true north at Vysokoye (56%31N, 34?55'E) for possible microwave antennas. (The remainder of this requiremeft'has been covered in Photographic Intelligence Report CIA/RR-HTA-Rl-57.) 25X1 D Photograp was searched in each direction along the perpendicular bisector o _ a ne connecting Units 1 and 2 of the Mozhaysk installation, but nothing resembling missile launching pads could be found. However, an installation described in HTA Rl-57 and characterized as a "suspected electronics installation" is located precisely on the bisector about 10 nautical miles due east of the Mozhaysk site. A point of possible interest is located considerably north of the perpendicular bisector, in the area just east of Golitsyno and some 45 nautical miles east-northeast of the Mozhaysk installation. It consists of an excavation about 100 feet square situated at the end of a road leading south from the Moscow-Smolensk highway. It is sited in a densely wooded area and a building along the road may be a security guard shack. DOCUMENT NO, ..... NO CHANGE IN CLASS. ^ C.] DECLASSiF'ED Declass Review by NGA / DOD CLASS. Though several possible electronic sites and several other unidentified facilities were found, none appeared related in any way to the Mozhaysk installation. It should be noted, however, that the scale of aerial photography usually precludes identification of microwave antennas.
