TOP SECRET TALENT
An unusual aircraft installation is located in the SE sector
of the city of Riga, E of the Dvina river. 11-.13 aircraft (7-9
jet fighters, one Bull-type, and 3 probable Beagles) are parked
in an open rectangular area approximately 850'x 1300'. Also in
this area are 3 probable dummy aircraft. This area is enclosed
on three sides by roads, fences and small buildings and on the
fourth side by what appears to be a jet blast wall. The aircraft
are parked on prepared hardstands and jet blast marks are quite
evident. The function of these aircraft is unknown. It appears
impossible to fly aircraft in or out of this restricted area.
The nearest airfield, Riga/Skirotava, is located 4 miles away.
Adjoining this unusual area and possibly related to the activity
here is a large, rail-served warehouse area,?reportedly a MVD
strategic storage warehouse area.
