LOCATION:
44 nm south of reference point.
FUNCTION:
One of a group of sites deployed for the defense of Moscow.
SITE STATUS:
Probably complete and operational.
REMARKS :
This is the first known photographic coverage of Herringbone SAM
Site E-18.
The site is regularly shaped and is located on the outer herringbone
defense ring.
Although the single small-format aerial photograph is of extremely
poor quality, visible service roads indicate that Site E-18 probably
has 60 launch points. A YO-YO radar site and a possible housing
facility are apparent.
