REFERENCE POINT:
The Kremlin, 55?45'N 37?37'E.
LOCATION:
46 nm west-northwest of reference point, just north of Denkovo.
FUNCTION:
One of a group of sites deployed for the defense of Moscow.
SITE STATUS:
Probably complete and operational.
REMARKS:
This is the first known photography from which the geographical
coordinates of Herringbone S.AM Site E-29 can be accurately determined.
The site is regularly shaped and is located in a partially cleared
area on the outer herringbone defense ring. Visible service roads
indicate that the site probably has 60 launch points. A YO-YO radar
site is present, and a probable housing facility is located a short distance
northeast of the herringbone site.
