REQUIREMENT RR/HTA/E/R5/58: Describe Mozhaysk Ammunition Depot and
Plant and confirm the existence of a reported amm-..mxion. testing ground
or firing range in a forest northeast of Mozhaysk.
The Mozhaysk Ammunition Depot and Plant is located 6, miles west-
southwest of the center of Moscow. It is situated in a wooded area
east of the Mozhaysk Railroad Station, and south of the Moscow/`rest
rail line. The Moscow/Minsk highway passes the installation approximately
2, 300 feet to the south.

25X1A The Depot and Plant are sur-
rounded by a cleared, ou I e-Ienced area. Within the secured area are 80
storage buildings with, an average size of 165 by 60 feet. Some of these are
rail served and others are road served. In addition, there are eight build-
ings of various sizes which comprise the components loading plant. East of
the loading plant.t'here is a probable burning ground.
TOP SECRET
In the woods between the Ammunition Depot and the Moscow/Minsk
highway is a small probable test range, which does not appear to be very
active. The existence of a reported ammunition test!.ng ground or firing
range northeast of Mozhaysk cannot be confirmed because of cloud cover.
