The Sverdlovsk Chemical Equipment Plant, Uralkhima.sh, appearing
on photography, is located 7. 5 miles southeast of Sverdlovsk 25X1 D
in W e vi age of Nizhne Isetskiy (see Figure 1). The plant is the second.-
largest producer of chemical equipment in the, USSR; it also produces high-
pressure boilers and supplies metallurgical, aluminum, oi.l.-refining,
pharmaceutical, sugar-refining, fertilizer, and textile. industries. 1/
Although there are.recent indications that the plant may develop and-
manu-facture fuel tanks for large guided missiles, 2/ there is no photographic
evidence to substantiate this report.
