Sverdlovsk. Arms Plant No 9, apjaearing on h.otogra.phy,
is within a fenced industrial compound which also contains E Sverdlovsk
Heavy Equipment Plant, Uralmash, Ordzhonikidze, located in the h ea.,vily
industrialized north-central portion of Sverdlovsk, USSR (see Figure 1).
This plant is one of two arms plants (Plant No 8 is the other) within the
target complex of Sverdlovsk that are known major producers of heavy-
caliber artillery, antitank, and naval guns. l/
This plant, in common with other artillery plants, has a. good.
potential for the development and production of guided missiles. .2/ The
photography, however, shows only two components that could be connected
