QUESTIONS BEARING ON THE PROBLEM I. What logistical support for the Communist military forces in South Vietnam, identified by the following categories, is pro- vided by internal sources and what support is provided from external sources: B. Weapons, explosives, and ammunition. II. What are the initial sources of externally provided supplies? Who are the intermediary handlers? Who are the intermediary consignees? In what form are supplies and items packaged and transported? From what locations are items transported immediately prior to crossing the border of South Vietnam? III. What military supplies, by type and quantity, enter South Vietnam by land and by water from Cambodia? What modes of transporta- tion are employed? What border crossing points are used? To what extent is the Cambodian government involved? IV. What military supplies,; by type and quantity, enter South Vietnam by land infiltration routes from North Vietnam either via Laos or the DMZ? What border crossing points are used? V. What military supplies, by type and quantity, enter South Vietnam from the Gulf of Siam, the delta of the Mekong River, and the eastern sea coast? What ports of entry are used? VI. With respect to paragraphs III-V above, what are the recep- tion points for supplies, the storage areas, and the redistribution routes to Viet tong forces within South Vietnam?
