Subject: Letter from Senator Chiles Regarding
Planned OFPP Oversight Hearings
For your information, the attached letter indicates that
Senator Chiles plans to hold oversight hearings, either
in early August or mid-September, with emphasis on major
system acquisition policy implementation.
We will be testifying and will want to report for the
executive branch on the progress that has been made in
the planning for implementation of OMB Circular A-109.
The Senator has not indicated which individual agencies
he may ask to testify on their A-109 implementation
activities.
Prior to the hearings, we would like to review your
.agency's implementation planning progress with your
acquisition executive or the person responsible for
A-109 implementation planning. Mr. Hunter of my staff
will make the necessary arrangements for this review.
