As a follow-up to a briefing on the People's Republic of China by
OER, delivered unclassified Agency publications to

Marian Czarnecki, Alison Brenner, and Jack Sullivan, on the House
International Relations Committee staff; Hyde Murray, House Agriculture
-Committee staff; Harold Lamar, House Ways and Means Committee staff;
Pat Holt and Dick Moose, Senate Foreign Relations Committee staff;
Clark McFadden, Senate Armed Services Committee staff; John Stark,
Joint Economic Committee staff; Tom Saylor, Senate Agriculture and
Forestry Committee staff; Michael Pertschuk, Senate Commerce Committee
staff; William Jordon, Senate Appropriations Committee staff; and Robert
Best, Senate Finance Committee staff. A separate package was mailed
to Linda Kamm, House Budget Committee staff.
7. (Internal Use Only - RJK) LIAISON Met with Tom Popovich,
Minority staff, House International Relations Committee, to discuss an
employment interview for an individual with whom he is 'acquainted.
He did not wish to name the individual but said that he had worked for
an American corporation in Europe for many years and was interested
in possibly serving his country in some way. I told Popovich that we
would arrange an interview for him and later made arrange- 25X1
ments for the individual to meet with at
10:00 a. m. , on Friday, 9 July.
8. (Unclassified - RJK) FBIS Delivered to Chairman Thomas E.
Morgan (D., Pa.), House International Relations Committee, and Chairman.
John Sparkman (D., Ala. ), Senate Foreign Relations Committee, FBIS
items in which their names were mentioned.
9. (Unclassified - RJK) LIAISON Received a call from Bob Turner,
on the staff of Senator Robert P. Griffin (R. , Mich. ). He said that he had
ordered the Asia and Pacific FBIS Daily Report but he had not been. receiving
it. After verifying the correct address, I talked with FBIS Liaison, who
said that there was a current subscription being sent to Senator Griffin's
office to Mr. Turner's attention. I relayed this information back to
Mr. Turner and he said he would double-check the Senator's mail room
to be sure that the Daily Report was not being stopped there. I said :.f
he had any further questions he should give us a call.
