1. Following an analysis of the test results of the two prototype
1540 Split Format Light Tables, NPIC selected the=developed model.
and has entered into a. contract on behalf of the Community for purchase
of 389 units a rcvii that co; zany.
1 2. We have recently been provided a production forecast by and,
on the basis of that forecast, have developed a proposed distribution
schedule (see attachment).
3. I would appreciate this new schedule being brought to the
attention of the members of EXPj\Nri), noting that there have been si_4s ni cant changes in the situation since March 1970. These changes are:
(a) Instead of two sources , we are
dealing with one.
(b) Rather than requirements for one model, Comi-comity
requirements now are for three models.
(c) The production rate forecasted by 0 varies from 15
to 10 per week as compared. to a continuous 15 per week
for the total production period, as expected earlier.
(d) he Community's requirement has changed, not significantly
in total, but more importantly, by individual organd.zation.
