1. This project is a continuation of'three consecutive R&D
contracts, FY's 1966-67-68. It was determined by TSSG that this
type of contract should be under the miscellaneous services
category because of its special study and work-order type
characteristics which are not really "research and dryell "
Accordingly, in FY 1969, we provided plans to expend
to extend the effort.
2. Major supporting activities during the past three years are
as follows:
a. Monitoring the participation of IEG/PHD photogrammetrists
in studying "The Mensuration of Photographic Images by
Human Operators."
b. Collecting ground truth, assembling experimental
imagery, and preparing target keys for "The Analysis of
Missile Sites as a Function of Photographic Ground Resolution".
c. Monitoring the participation in the missile site study
of IEG and IAS photo interpreters and DDS&T/FMSAC analysts.
d. Producing controlled resolution, simulated imagery for
use as stimulus materials in "The Analysis of Radars as a
Function of Photographic Ground Resolution".
e. Monitoring the participation in the radar study of IEG
and IAS photo interpreters and DDS&T/OSI analysts.
