During this reporting period, the decision was made to dismantle and remove the plotter used for producing the simulated imagery. On the basis of the limited testing which was successfully carried out,it is recommended that the contracted computer programming work be accepted and be paid. The contractor performed as well as he could within the constraints placed on him by the NPIC operating environment (equipment breakdowns, computer system changes, computer scheduling problems, etc.) The work was completed and eventually "debugged" to the point where it would run successfully (at least on the modes which were tried). The contractor submitted reports as required (although often late) and responded well to technical. direction. The overall performance of the contractor was above average. 2. The simulated imagery program was initiated to provide unclassified test material for testing automatic correlation systems such as found on the High Precision Stereocomparator. Because of unavoidable delays in the program, however, the immediate requirements for the material expired. The program may still prove useful to NPIC for other purposes, but in any case, the routines which drive the plotter will have to be rewritten. 3. The Total Authorized Funds on this contract are I certify that all deliverable items under this contract have been received. 25X1 25X1 25X1 Project Officer ^ UNCLASS I ^ SECRET
