e. Items of special interest:,
The ug Vishnevsky, with a probably military
cargo, was nearing Gibraltar on 16 February. Its desti-
nation almost certainly is Cuba. If so, it probably will
arrive about 25 February.
The Soviet passenger ship Gruzia, which declared
for Cuba with general cargo and no passengers, is in the
Atlantic about 7 days out from Cuba. No new information
has been received regarding the ship's cargo.
Another passenger ship, the Admiral Nakhimov,
left the Black Sea on 15 February declaring forCuba with
flour and no passengers. The ship's normal capacity is
about 1,200 passengers. It has frequently gone to Cuba,
but during the buildup last summer did not appear to have
carried troops. It returned a large number of Soviet mil-
itary personnel and dependents to the USSR in December.
