In conference 28 January 1966 between 9 4 76 1/3 of this office, it was agreed that the follow- ing would be the immediate or interim objectives of this project: (1) that the long range objectives would remain as stated in the contract, but (2) effort for the current contract period would be concentrated on attaining the below stated interim goals: a. A neutral gray flexible film of 1x5 inch sheet size having a D maximum of 2.0 density and a D minimum of 0.10. The minimum density to be nearly uniform across the visible spectrum. b. High contrast resolution to be 200 line pairs per mm. c. Latitude to include at least eleven steps of a twenty-one step gray scale step tablet. d. Speed or sensitivity of the material to light to be such that a fully exposed target may be obtained in not more than 30 seconds with a maximum power of not more than 1100 watts, preferably approaching the ultra-violet end of the spectrum. it e. Contrast control should be the equivalent of photographic gamma of 1.0 to 2.0. f. Storage - It is desirable that the material have the capability of one years storage prior to exposure and at least six months storage after exposure and fixing without undue loss of image. g. Fixing time should be as short as possible but not over one minute. h.
