940 MCE Light Table Used
TEB Test Program for DIMLIT dated 3 September 1968
1. The subject light table is not acceptable.
1.1. A force of 5.25 lbs. is necessary to sustain movement of the
carriage in the Y direction (parallel to the short side of lighted surface).
1.2. Motion of the carriage is stopped 0.25 inch ahead of the forward
restraint in the Y direction by interference of the DIG reading head and a
pulley shaft.
1.3. Motion of the carriage is stopped 1.0 inch ahead of the right
restraint in the X direction. No determination of the cause was possible.
1.4. The extreme limits of carriage travel in the Y direction move
the reading heads of the DIG system off of the calibrated scale. The motion
of the carriage should be restrained to prevent this.
2. It is requested that DED take action to have the manufacturer correct
these deficiencies. TEB/TPD will retest this light table after the corrections
