The modification to subject contract has been signed with the under-
standing that costs incurred performing additionally required work are
recoverable along with a reasonable profit. Attachment 1 to this letter
breaks down those costs which are a matter of Contractor's record
through July 21, 1968.
It is requested that the compensation paragraph of subject contract be
amended to the following, which are in accordance with the contract
formula:

Additionally, the delivery date should be adjusted to compensate for
the month required to investigate the increased spool size.
Work in accordance with the unmodified proposal is proceeding. Our
first monthly report is in work and will be issued this week.

Engineering labor was expended in modifying layouts and developing a
modified advanced light table configuration to accommodate the 1000 ft.
film length. Mock.-up sketches were prepared. A conference was held
with U. S. Government Representative of o
formalize a new style.
Manufacturing prepared the mock-up of unit designed to accommodate
1000 ft. of film.

Congratulations on your new assignment. Sorry
we did not make connections on your trip to Los Angeles
in January.
You aren't the only ones who can reorganzie. We
also have been reorganizing thru Jan, Feb and March.
As you can see we have a new name which we hope will
reflect our new scope of activities.
In our last conversation in your office, I said
I was going to build you aood light table. It is
almost done and is coming out to
see it Mr_nday Aprii 1-5. As it turns out, we can have
a table designed, built and ready for delivery almost
before you can even place a CPFF contract for the
development of one. Our preliminary tests indicate it
performs beautifully and we believe it will be fully
responsive to your needs. has done a
most remarkable job. We will review the human engineer-
ing aspects with George on Monday.
