In order to provide the greatest potential for the exploitation of reconnaissance products in the foreseeable future, we feel that the separa- tion between the optical axes of the two objectives should be adjustable from 2" to 14". Except for this point, the development objectives appear to be satisfactory. 2. Our ultimate purchase of production versions of this device will be contingent upon the following: a. Effective utilization of the Model I Advanced Rhomboids which we have on order (100 units). b. The degree of performance obtained by the in production versions of their Model SZ III D Microstereoscope. 25 c. The successful development of the 0 "Advanced" Microstereo- 25 ? scope, which is now in the design phase under NPIC/P&DS contract. d.
