We are sending in the attached package,two prototype 13X
Magnifiers. The prototype with iden:i~ication by taped
label #1 is according to the production lot now being
processed. Prototype Magnifier desicnated.as #2 is ac-
cording to original plan. As explained to,you by telephone,
the illumination on opaque copy is simewhat of a problem.
To improve this, the construction in #1 has been resorted to.
The reticle blank is larger and ther3 are extra operations to
spot face it, put on the wide flat b(vel on the rear side and
apply black lacquer. There is a noticeable improvement over
the original model (#2).
The production instruments will be cleaner and appear more
finished. Please return the prototy?es at your earliest con-
venience.
