Approved For Rose 2001/08If DP78B04747 100080005-6 IPO/OSB/M-35-65 1i August 1965 MEMORANDUM FOE: Assistant for Plans and Development, NPIC ATTENTION: Chief, Development Branch SUBJECT: Requirement for Photographic Prints 1. A recent experience of the Photographic Analysis Group has provided evidence that an immediate capability for production of en- larged prints is necessary. This equipment should not be a sophisticated processor but rather a device that can be easily operated by the photo interpreter. A magnification of seven to ten would be required with a paper print that may or may not be permanent. Best described, this reproduction equipment should be of the "quick and dirty" type but have reasonably good image quality for interpretation purposes. Initial photo interpretation will, of course, be made from the duplicate positive transparency with the enlargement serving as a medium for additional information and/or confirmation of data. 2. It is understood that NRTSC now is using an enlarger which may be applicable for our purposes. Your investigation of this equipment or any other that can be utilized by the PAG would be appreciated.
