SUBJECT: HTA 6 Film Processor Proposal

1. Upon reading this proposal several questions arise that we feel
should be answered before going forward with this proposal.
A. There is no mention of capacity of chemical solutions
tanks or of a chemical replenishment system. In a machine of
this type shouldn't there be some method of replenishing
chemicals?
B. We would appreciate further explanation of the drier
system, no mention is made of drying temperatures, the proposal
states that "no external blowers, filters or ducting to any
outside source are required"; how does the contractor propose
to dispose of the moisture-laden air? He states that the
system will be "arranged so that a dehydrator may be used"
though it is not included in this proposal. Is it possible
that we will find at some later date that we do in fact need
a dehydrator and thus generate a modification?
C. The overall size of the machine causes concern in P.S.D..
In its present configuration it would mean costly building
modification which, should be avoided; we feel that with a
replenishment system the size could be reduced.
D. We in P.S.D. also feel that since it has been a year
since this proposal was written, some progress must have been
achieved that would permit the contractor to build more into
the machine for the price.
