Visual inspection of the samples showed no blotches or mottling. Further tests with additional fins will be conducted.. Machine assembly has started. Bottom frame and tanks of the processor are going together. Assembly of components into the frames of the service unit and the six and replenish unit have also been started? Avisit of 10 during the week of 6.10 May will be very time y. Construction details can be examined and sensitometric tests witnessed and results reviewed. The speed controller was reviewed in some detail. They will use stepper motors driven by a voltage pulse train. The frequency of the pulses *an be varied to give variable speed. It appears that the speed can be very accurately controlled over the full speed range and there should be no diffddulty meeting the accuracy mp.?ec. There is inherent togging in a stepping device but M believes STATINTL this can be eliminated by a flywheel and spring coupling. It will be tested on the mockup. ? has not rec eiv'ed the contract for this machine yet. There has been no further word whether the epee should be 25 fps or 20 fps in the epee* The question may be unimportant as the machine is STATINTL being designed to transport fits at 60 fps.
