Approved For Releas3000/06/07 : CIA-RDP78B047471600020085-0 N~~ MEMORANDUM FOR THE RECORD STATOTHR SUBJECT: Trip Report, 18-20 May 1964 ~yy STATOTHR STATOTHR 1. The visit to = was made to review their proposal for a chip printer and to revise areas of the proposal to agree with specific requirements. Originally, they proposed a roll film output system, air bag platen, full RFI shielding, and a number of other specifics which needed revision or clarification. They had prepared an addendum to the proposal which, upon review showed areas still in need of clarification. Accordingly, they will prepare a follow-on or a revised proposal containing the discussed changes and recom- mendations. In this manner we will be able to contract on the basis of the proposal if and when-fund-in .becomes available. 2. The visit to the OT KK was for a progress review on the 880A Comparator. Discussion was mainly on investigation of a better light source, optics and control locations. They will look into these areas and in the meantime we shall evaluate the optics contained in tiS-jryCJf 1rRdelivered Navy instrument. 3. The visit to J H was made for progress review on the High-speed Coordinatograph to be delivered by 15 July 1964. Fabrication is progressing very satisfactorily with no apparent holdups. All sub-contracting is on schedule and delivery of the plotter should be made on the contract date. The major hold-up now appears to be building modifications which GSA is handling through contract. The best estimate for building completion is between 1-15 August, which means the instrument will be delivered and inoperable for at least one month. The contract has already been extended from 15 June to 15 July because of the building modifications. STATOTHR 3June 1964 DECLiA v d#I F-MV l i ,Lu/ /~ '~I4-I~ i~B04747A001600020085-0
