REFERENCE
1. Under subject contract, effective 21 June 1963, a. prototype hi h
speed, high precision plotter is being fabricated by

2. The plotter, to be operated on-line-from a, 25X1A
being developed in response to requirements from TID t b1e photographic
representations to be processed through the photo-measurement cycle in
real time or quasi rea.1-time, and for the prepa.ra,tion of coverage extent
keyed to specific map formats. A p~oba.ble third application will be a.
orbital plot, based upon available da.ta., to a.11ow for selection and screening
of existing materials, to be followed by a. corrected plot once the orbital
track ha.s been established and the mission is in progress.
3? Contract progress is very good with delivery a.nticipa,ted on sched-
ule (1 June 196+). Certain tentative commitments or trade-off ha.s been
entered into - such a.s the Agency providing vacuum and air conditioning
in return for no increase in cost due to disassembly and reassembly neces-
sary to get the plotter into the opera.tiona.l area.
~-. After check-out and a. reasonable length of operation, it will be
determined what, if any, changes a.re desirable, and also work-load. parameters
to determine the total number of instruments required.
