Comparator Reacbut Equipment
Replacement or repair of readout equipment to service the various
comparators in TAB.
STA T OF FACTS
1. Telecordex-flexowriter equipment now in use with the
comparators requires replacement or overhaul to maintain reliability
of output.
2. Additional equipment must be secured to service the new comparator being purchased.
3. Reliability of the readout equipment for the. and
three RIC-? comparators is undependable and may require replacement
with more reliable equipment.
4. The six channel code currently In use should be replaced
by the seven channel field data code (a more universal code computable
with the 490 input fort at) as soon as possible.
1.. Basically,, the tolecordex is reliable and with proper maintenance
and periodic replacement of all tubes it should provide dependable service.
ett set of replacement tubes have been ordered, at a cost of around
i0for, three instruments.
2. A new .uetru sent could be purchased to replace the telecordex,
such as the .solid state version of the telecordex or the pignl. A re-

be used while the malfunctioning flexowriter is undergoing repairs.
