It was impossible to cover in detail, within the time limitations, all the perimeters set forth by the TDB. However, the chip problem was discussed at length in three meetings for a total of approximately eight hours and the following recommendations were compiled: (a) The NPIC must establish goals and objectives in order to plan for the development of procedures and procurement of equipment necessary for the successful completion of its mission. (c) That a committee be set up to determine the impact of the chip concept on the P.I. process. (d) That the chip printer be fabricated as proposed so as not to lose the time and money invested in achieving an operational prototype. 2. The PAG representative wishes to take the following minority position particularly as to concurrence with the fabrication of the chip printer. (a) No justification at present in time, materials, or labor have been given for development of this equipment. (b) In the future if this system would become an essential part of a feasible system, then this would be justification for persuing this course. 3.
