SUBJECT: Briefing on ORD's Remote Crop Sensing Program
1. At 1100 on Thursday 9 March, in Room 1216 of the Ames Bldg.
briefed the follow-
ing people on the remote sensing oagricu turalcrops:

use a set of six aerial cameras to photograph
during the late Spring and Summer wheat growing 25X1
season of 1967. They are planning to use a U-2 aircraft at operational
altitude to acquire this photographic imagery. They will also acquire 25X1
agricultural ground truth. interpreters will then attempt
to-'pedict crop yield through a study of the photos acquired without
access to the ground truth (until after they have made their predictions).
