The instal- lation is not rail served. A probable hard- surfaced secondary road serves the major ad- ministration/barracks area. The training area (Figures 2, 3, 4, and 5) encompasses an extensive area of approx- imately 11,170 acres. It contains a major administration/barracks area, two minor ad- ministration/barracks areas, one equipment storage/maintenance area, three general stor- age areas, four closed- circuit wheeled/tracked- vehicle driver-training courses, seven small- TCS-7644/64 NPIC/R-780/64 arms firing ranges, and one tank/assault gun range. The training area contains a total of 187 buildings: 44 administration/barracks build- ings, 29 general storage buildings, 19 equip- ment storage/maintenance, and 32 support build- ings and 63 unidentified buildings. 25X1 D The installation cannot be identified from its initial coverage in =because of heavy clouds and incomplete coverage. There has been no apparent change in the installation since its initial analysis in The latest available photog- raphy reveals extensive track activity on the driver-training courses and the tank/assault gun firing range. DESCRIPTION OF INSTALLATION Road Service A probable hard-surfaced, all-weather road serves the main administration/barracks facil- ity. Numerous roads and trails interconnect the entire training area. Administrative and Troop Housing Areas Area D1 (Figure 3) appears to be secured by a single fence and contains 8 administration/ barracks buildings, 6 storage buildings, and 7 support buildings. Area D2, which appears to be occupied in both summer and winter, contains 36 prob- able barracks and 19 probable support build- ings. General Storage Areas Area El (Figure 3) is secured by a fence and contains three probable storage buildings and three possible support buildings. Area E2 (Figure 5) contains nine storage buildings within a fence and one support build- ing outside the fence. Area E3 (Figure 5) contains 10 storage buildings and is secured by a fence. Other Buildings Area Hl (Figure 5) contains approximately 35 small buildings scattered throughout a wooded area. This area appears to be an old barracks area and contains two small-arms ranges and one athletic field. Area 112 has 20 buildings of an undetermined type. The function of this area cannot be deter- m ined. Equipment Storage/Maintenance Area Area J (Figure 3) contains eighteen 170- by 60-foot equipment storage buildings and one maintenance building. Heavy scarring is present in this area on both summer and winter photography. 25X1 D 25X1 D 25X1 D Handle Via Approved For Release 2000/08/21 : CIA-RDP78B04560A0025000100 E~T-KEYHOLE TOP SECRET RUFF ontro System Only Approved For ReleI_QP2AW;9hI :'MMFRDP78B0456OA002500010009-2 Handle Via TALENT-KEYHOLE Control System Only NPIC/R-780/64 - 4 - 25X1 D Handle Via Approved For Release 2000/08/21 : CIA-RDP78BO456OA0025 On f em nl g TOP SECRET RUFF ApprovedaFor Release 2000/0812'f PClk-~8P78B,456OA002500010009-2 TALENT-KEYHOLE Control System Only TCS-7644 /64 NPIC/R-780/64 Road Fence ------ Area outline 100 0 100 200 300 400 500 METERS (APPROXIMATE) 25X1 D Handle Via Approved For Release 2000/08/21 : CIA-RDP78B04560A002500010f~ oN YS em o ~y TOP SECRET RUFF Approved For ReleaIQ?00 8 1T: 8M DP78B04560A002500010009-2 Handle Via TALENT-KEYHOLE Control System Only Athletic Fields Area K (Figure 3) is a probable assembly area. Area K2 (Figure 5) is an athletic field but does not appear to be active. Small-Arms Firing Ranges There are seven active small-arms ranges (Figure 5): L1 is 155 by 90 feet, L2 is 185 by 90 feet, L3 is 185 by 90 feet, L4 is 250 by 120 feet, L5 is 775 by 90 feet, L6 is 375 by 75 feet, and L7 is 375 by 75 feet. Scarring is observed on summer photography and prob- able scarring is observed on winter photog- raphy. Measurements are only approximations due to poor-quality photography. Driver-Training Areas Ml, M2, and M3 (Figure 5) are tracked- TCS-7644/64 NPIC/R-780/64 vehicle, closed-circuit driver-training courses. Tank/Assault Gun-Firing Range Ni (Figure 3) is a 4,000-foot tank/assault- gun firing range with nine targets and six lanes approximately 2,300 feet long. All lanes appear active and three may also be used in winter. 'Three range support buildings are located at the range head. Area T2 is an unidentified firing lane. l'rack activity is observed adjacent to the small-arms ranges, L1 through L5. 25X1 D E Approved For Release 2000/08/21 :CIA-RDP78BO4560A00250'UAQLr 9?Y TOP SECRET RUFF Approved For Release 2000/01 SRIT#B04560A002500010009-2 Handle Via TALENT-KEYHOLE TCS-7644/64 Control System Only NPIC/R-780/64 FIGURE 4.
